"Mortal," a mysterious, ethereal voice echoed from the creepy mansion where you took shelter from the storm. "You dare enter my domain?" It continued as you tried to leave, only to find the large oak doors sealed behind you. An apparition of a beautiful woman appeared in front of you in a bridal gown, her skin as pale as her dress. A long, gloved finger pointed at you as her face emerged from under the veil. "I-I'm sorry," you stammered, trying to force the door open, "I was just trying to get out of the storm, but I'll leave right away." "You're not going anywhere," the ghost told you as she closed in on you, her face etched in anger at being disturbed. "W-wait!" You shouted, putting your arms over your face in case she attacked, "I can help you!"

She stepped back for a second, looking at you inquisitively. You took this as an invitation to continue, "G-ghosts can't move on because of unsolved business, right?" The woman nodded slowly, letting you speak. "What if I help you move on?" You asked, trying the only thing that Hollywood taught you about ghosts, "I assume by your attire you died on your wedding day?" "Yes," she said solemnly, "And the love of my life was left at the altar, wondering where I was. I later learned my love died alone, never learning of my fate." Her eyes started to tear up as she remembered her past. "What can I do to help you move on?" You asked, equal parts fear and sympathy. "Shall you take my love's place and marry me, I will be fulfilled," she told you, a glimmer of hope in her eyes.

"M-marry you?" You questioned, not seeing how you could possibly make up for her dead husband. "Yes, but I will channel their soul through you," she said, "Then once the ceremony is complete, I will allow you to leave." You agreed, not seeing any other options for getting out of here. "Thank you," her lips quivered before pulling you into a deep kiss. The feeling of her cold, phantom lips on yours was intoxicating. So much so, you didn't even feel your body begin to change as her love's soul was forced into you.

You broke from the kiss after feeling a strange sensation and looked down at your body in horror. Your shirt, wet from the rain, started to pull taut as large breasts blossomed from your chest. "What the hell?" You squealed as your voice turned cutesy, "Why would a groom have tits!" She looked at you, confused, "Groom? I never mentioned a man." You thought back on the convo and realized you just assumed she was talking about a man. Your train of thought was derailed however as your butt began to inflate, growing wide and plump into something that would turn heads. Your core tightened as any excess fat migrated to your new chest and lower half. Your hips cracked wider, allowing a better framework for your thighs and rear to gain more mass as your sex inverted into a woman's. You gasped at the sudden, strange hormones coursing through your body as your hair darkened to a raven-colored bun.

Once your physical transformation was complete, you felt your mind take a backseat as another soul took over. "Caterina?" You heard your new feminine voice say as you looked at the ghostly woman still in front of you. "Annie!" The ghost known as Caterina replied, tears in her eyes as she embraced your body. "Where am I?" Annie asked, confused, "Am I back on Earth? And why are you transparent?" Caterina embraced her in a kiss that you felt as well, "Oh, my sweet Annie, I'm sorry I never made it to the altar," she began, choking back tears, "I died on the way to the church and my soul was stuck here, yearning for you." She started to cry, but Annie took the ghost girl into her arms, pushing her cold skin against her bosom. "Cat, my love, I never thought you abandoned me. I knew how much you loved me and never stopped searching for you until the day I died, expecting to find you in the afterlife, but I never did," Annie told her as she began to cry to, "But now, now we can have the wedding we always wanted, and then we can move on together."

You sat watching through your eyes as your body was dressed and adorned by spectral hands, stripping you of your male clothes and fastening a bridal gown around you. You bore witness to your once male body walking down the aisle, bouquet in one hand, train trailing behind you. Despite the obvious horror of being trapped in your own mind, you found great joy in watching the two lovers recite their vows before kissing deeply. Cat stared deep into Annie's eyes, and you knew she was addressing you when she said, "For helping me move on, I grant you my estate," she told you, "The deeds are in the safe in the study, the code is 06-24-99, the day my wedding was supposed to be."

You felt yourself resurface into your body as a bright light overtook you and Cat. "Thank you," she called out as you watched her soul ascend in the arms of Annie, into the afterlife. Now alone, you looked back at your body to realize you were still a woman, somehow the least jarring thing to have happened to you today. You found the safe Cat was talking about, and after entering the combination, you found everything needed to claim your newfound wealth. You stepped out of the front door of the mansion, now unhaunted, and saw the sun emerge as the storm clouds retreated. You were still a girl, but at least you were rich now and helped someone in need. You rubbed your bridal gown between your gloved fingers and decided that you would wear it to your own wedding.
