Jay had a drinking problem, having become an alcoholic around the beginning of college. Ever since he had laid his fingers on his first cheap can of beer, he couldn’t keep the stuff out of his system. As he graduated college and moved into the workforce, he had found any excuse to drink at all times of the day. It had gotten so bad that he had been caught drinking while in the office, getting a swift write-up as a result. Jay’s best friend, Davey, was well-aware of his friend’s problem, and had hatched a plan to hopefully fix his friend’s terrible habit.
Davey was a biochemist, working for a large pharmaceutical company. He had quickly risen to become the head of one of their R&D divisions, focused mainly on consumer-grade medications and weight loss products. In his spare time, he was either hanging out with (and trying to help) his beleaguered friend, or working on his own, private projects, separate from the ones he worked on at the company. His latest one was aimed at helping Jay out, and hopefully curing his addiction. The drug, which he had called “Odrzine”, was designed to cause a similar reaction to that of Naloxone, or “Narcan” as it was more commonly called. Cause the body to block out alcohol like Narcan did with illegal substances, thus knocking someone out of their stupor. He was hoping that that the intended, secondary function of it actually causing an aversion to alcohol after the fact worked properly too. A “one-two punch”, so to speak.
Joining Jay in his apartment that night, Davey decided to put his plan into motion. After listening to Jay rant about his write-up and how bad his week had been, Davey got up to grab some snacks from his kitchen. As per usual, Jay asked if he could bring over a few cans of beer, giving him the perfect window to try out his new little Odrzine experiment in full. Cracking open one of the cans, he quickly dropped three droplets of it into the foamy can, knowing Jay would never be able to taste it or tell the difference. Walking back in, he handed it to his friend.
“Thanks Davey.” Jay thanked, grabbing the can and immediately gulping down half of it without a second thought. “Whew! That really hits the spot, I gotta tell you!”
Davey waited a few moments, but felt a sense of disappointment as the Odrzine appeared to do… absolutely nothing. If anything, Jay seemed to be drinking his beer even faster than normal, having enjoyed the spiked beer far more than usual. It didn’t make any sense to Davey, none at all. The tests he had done on his control subject didn’t exhibit this reaction.
“…hic…Man, it’s been a while since beer has hit quite like this! hic” Jay remarked out loud, his cheeks having gone rose-colored after downing the seventh can of beer in a row.
“Take it easy, man. No one is going to take it from you, you know.” Davey tempered, beginning to wonder if something was wrong. Seriously wrong.
“No, it’s just… hic… I needed to relax, and… hic…” Jay slurred, a blank look slipping onto his face before he finally passed out, his head falling limp against the couch.
Davey waved his hand in front of his friend’s face, seeing he was out cold. Checking to make sure he was still breathing, Davey stood up and walked out of the room, going to his coat to retrieve the needle of neutralizing agents he had brought with him in case of an emergency. He was sure this reaction wasn’t normal, and wanted to play it safe rather than keep going.
However, when Davey walked back over to Jay on the couch, he was surprised to see he was beginning to change, right before his eyes. His body was actually shifting around.
Jay’s reasonable, average facial features had become far softer and cuter, still pink and rosy from the alcohol in his system. His arms had slimmed down considerably while his legs thickened, becoming far more… shapely. His hair shifted to an emerald color as his hands and feet slimmed down too. His waist popped loudly as it caved in, leaving him with thick hips that were easily of childbearing proportions. Finally, Davey watched in shock as he grew a massive pair of tits, both easily double the size of his head. He was flabbergasted. Having a scientific and inquisitive mind, Davey did the previously unthinkable, and gently put his hand on his best friend’s crotch, only to realize it was completely flat. Jay had become a woman.
Jay suddenly let out a small, feminine moan, eyes still closed as she stretched her whole body out on the couch. Opening her eyes with a groggy, tipsy look on her face, she immediately looked up to see Davey standing over her, his hand hovering very close to her private parts. Jay, eyes still somewhat glassy, let out a small sigh, rolling onto her side.
“Davey… we can hic… do that stuff later…” She grumbled, staggering back to “her” feet towards the bedroom. Davey, being a bit of a social recluse and a virgin, couldn’t think of a single word to say as “she” casually grabbed some of her ex-girlfriend’s clothes from the bottom of his dresser, exposing her new, buxom form for him to see in full. “I’m… so sleepy…”
Throwing on a black turtleneck sweater, some stockings, and black panties, she shuffled back towards the couch, trying to get a few extra drops of beer from one of the spent cans.
“I thought… hic, we had more than this…” She spoke in a saddened tone, laying right back down in the same spot as before. Davey, still in complete shock, considered jabbing the needle into her arm in an attempt to reverse all of this, but he knew that if this had happened, there was a risk that the neutralizing agents might make things worse.
“Jay… are you alright? Do you know who I am? Who you are?” Davey finally spoke up, trying his best to gauge the situation he had suddenly found himself in. “You seem… tired.”
“Why are you… hic, asking stupid questions…” She grumbled, seemingly oblivious to the changes as she rolled over, hugging one of her pillows. “I’m Jaya, and you’re Davey…”
That was enough information for Davey to realize something had gone seriously wrong with the Odrzine formula. It seemed the changes went much further than skin deep, even affecting her mind. Davey put the needle down, taking a deep breath before putting a blanket over “Jaya”, seeing a smile pop up on her face as he did so. He left Jaya’s apartment without a sound, running back home with one of the unopened cans of beer held tightly in his hands. Putting the other sample of the Odrzine into the beer, he immediately realized the gravity of the mistake he had made. He had forgotten to test the formula when it was exposed to other substances, and what would happen when it was taken orally as well. As it turns out, putting the Odrzine directly into carbonated alcohol such as beer had altered its chemical formula, causing a “mutation” of sorts. The final result, when tested on his pet lab rat, caused a gradual reversal of the subject’s Y chromosome, resulting in his rat turning female. It was miraculous, unlike anything he had seen before. It was a breakthrough he had never expected to find.
Unfortunately, it came at the expense of his best friend, who had become the hottest, bustiest woman he had ever seen in real life. Returning to “Jaya’s” apartment, he found her making breakfast in little more than an apron, still quite hungover from the previous night but doing her best to fight through it. She was overjoyed to see her “best friend” walk through the door.
“Hiiii Davey! I was hoping you’d stop by this morning~” She cooed, doing her best to show off her brazenly-exposed form. “I decided to make some scrambled eggs and bacon!”
Not wanting to disappoint her, Davey quietly sat down and accepted the food, watching how graceful her movements were despite how thick her curves were. She kept her eyes on Davey the whole time, enjoying his positive reaction to her food. Davey later discovered she was under the impression they were engaged, and he couldn’t have been more surprised.
Maintaining her dreamy demeanor, Jaya went along with everything Davey did as he worked to process everything that happened with her, getting her officially recognized as a full, biological woman after announcing his discovery to his company. Odrzine would soon become the revolutionary sex-change treatment, making Davey and his now-wife Jaya incredibly wealthy. In the end, Jaya never did touch alcohol ever again, especially after discovering she had become pregnant with the couple’s future children…
